Accommodation in
Five Different Buildings

At Zabola, where stillness meets story, your room is more than a place to sleep — it is part of the estate’s unfolding past. Our guesthouses, built between the 18th and 20th centuries, once served many roles — homes, retreats, quiet corners of a working estate shaped by time. Today, five historic houses have been gently reimagined to welcome guests, each offering its own rhythm, character, and connection to the landscape. No two stays are the same — and that is just as it should be.

The Old Saddle House

A place once made for horses, now made for stillness. This 300-year-old building once housed the estate’s saddlery on the ground floor, where bridles, reins, and tack were kept in careful order. For over 200 years, the upper floor has offered private guest rooms — a tradition of quiet hospitality that continues today. At its heart is a large open fireplace bearing the Mikes family crest — a warm focal point for couples or small groups. The apartment includes four bedrooms: three doubles and one spacious twin, each with its own entrance from the shared living room. The Master Bedroom features a freestanding bathtub and shares a bathroom with the twin room. The Green Room and Yellow Room are connected via a second bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower. The drawing room, styled in rustic elegance, may also be set for a private dinner by the fire — available upon request.
