Horseback Riding

A Tradition in Motion

Horseback Riding

Horseback riding at Zabola is a chance to connect with a living legacy. The Count Mikes Stud dates back to the late 17th century and has long been part of the estate’s rhythm. In 1758, Empress Elisabeth of Russia acquired 28 horses from Zabola; during the First World War, the Mikes horses raced under the family colours in Vienna.

Since 2018, English thoroughbreds and Székely mares are being carefully crossbred with Arabians to revive this noble lineage.

Whether you are learning to ride or exploring the forest on horseback, our team welcomes all levels with calm guidance and care.
