Description

Dobrica Hunting Lodge is a quiet refuge set 4 km above the village of Bixad / Sepsibükszád, surrounded by forest and meadow. Located about 60 km from Zabola Estate, it offers the same connection to nature and heritage—just in a more remote, back-to-basics setting. Built in the 1890s by Count Ármin Mikes as one of four estate houses once linked to the family manor in the village, the lodge retains its original calm and understated charm.

Life unfolds slowly here. Mornings begin with birdsong, evenings settle beside the fire, and days follow the rhythm of the landscape. The wood-fired sauna overlooks an open meadow, and the outdoor hot tub invites long hours under the stars. Just behind the house lies a stretch of old-growth woodland—part of a rare virgin forest, officially recognised and carefully protected. It remains untouched, and conservation here takes quiet, steady form. To learn more, visit conservationtransylvania.com.

Dobrica is best suited for families or small groups looking to slow down, reconnect, and spend time surrounded by nature.
