WELCOME to Zabola Estate and to what is still very much a lived in, family home. The Estate is nestled at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains right next to thousands of hectares of untouched wilderness in Transylvania. The Park with its special microclimate offers magnificent views with its century old trees and ponds. The castle of the estate dates back to the 16th century. After the harrowing years of Communism, while the estate was used as childrens camp by the Romanian state and the family was displaced, a new generation, Gregor and Alexander Roy Chowdhury returned to Transylvania to rebuild their ancestral home as a modern, private estate. |
